An invitation to look closer

You already live inside an ecosystem.
You may just call it life.

Someone shares an idea. Another person puts it to work. Experience becomes a lesson, a lesson becomes an opportunity, and something useful travels further than the person who started it.

Christopher’s Manifesto explores that movement. CEM looks at how people create, circulate, and renew value—not only money, but knowledge, responsibility, encouragement, and possibility.

This first volume introduces the model through the relationships and choices of everyday life. It asks you to notice what connects things you may have been looking at separately.

A thought to carry with you

“A model should help you think,
not do your thinking for you.”

From “A Letter to the Reader,” Christopher’s Manifesto.

Inside the conversation

Value is more than what you earn.

An idea, a skill, or something learned from a mistake can become valuable in someone else’s hands. CEM asks what happens when those contributions are shared, changed, and passed along.

Contribution can outlast your presence.

Being the only person who can do something is not the same as helping a group grow stronger. The book explores the difference between being wanted for your contribution and being needed because everything depends on you.

Choice still belongs to you.

People can influence, teach, and encourage one another. They cannot make every choice for one another. Self-control is a recurring principle throughout this first volume.

The person behind the pages

Gavin Christopher Turner

Known creatively as Gavin Christopher and MC Dooly, Gavin brings the perspective of an artist, designer, entrepreneur, and U.S. Army veteran to the Christopher world.

This book is not his autobiography. It is a way of examining how people, ideas, and opportunities connect—and an invitation to question the model, test it against your own experience, and keep learning.

Before you begin

What does C.E.M. mean?

C.E.M. stands for the Christopher Ecosystem Model. The book introduces a framework for understanding how people create, circulate, and renew value.

Do I need to know the Christopher brand first?

No. The first volume starts with familiar experiences—home, work, learning, and community—and introduces the model from there.

Is this the whole series?

This is Book I of a planned three-part series. This page is dedicated to the first volume.
